The Department of BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) is an academic division within a college or university that offers undergraduate education in the field of computer applications and information technology. Session on “Lean Startup”

The BCA Department successfully conducted an enlightening session on the concept of Lean Startup, organized by the final year BCA students. The event aimed to introduce and explore innovative startup methodologies that emphasize rapid prototyping, customer feedback, and iterative product development.

Various real-world examples and case studies were shared to illustrate how startups have succeeded using lean methods. Overall, the session was a resounding success and proved to be both informative and inspiring for all who attended.

Seminar on Tech Elevate Catalyst

On August 14th, 2024, the Department of BCA organized an insightful seminar titled “Tech Elevate Catalyst.” The guest speaker, Mr. Sakthivel, Senior Project Engineer from HCL Technologies, shared his expertise on emerging technologies and their impact on the IT industry. His session provided valuable guidance on bridging the gap between academics and industry expectations.

The seminar was attended enthusiastically by all BCA students, who actively participated in the interactive session that followed. It served as an excellent platform for students to gain a deeper understanding of current technological trends and career opportunities in the IT sector.

Seminar on UI / UX Design

The Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) organized an insightful Technical Seminar on UI/UX Design, aimed at equipping students with knowledge of current trends and best practices in user interface and user experience design.

The session was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. K.L. Venkatesan, Zonal Head of Image Creative Education Pvt. Ltd., who served as the keynote speaker. With his vast experience in the creative and design industry, Mr. Venkatesan provided an in-depth understanding of the principles of UI/UX, the design thinking process, and the role of creativity and user empathy in crafting digital experiences.

Intra -Department competition

The Department of Computer Applications conducted an intra-department competition titled “Canva Designic AI 2025” on 3rd March 2025. The event was organized to encourage creativity and promote digital design skills among students using modern tools like Canva and AI-based design platforms.

The competition served as a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas through visually appealing and purposeful digital designs. It aimed at fostering both creativity and technical proficiency in digital media, aligning with current industry trends.
