Co-Curricular Activities
Co-curricular activities in college are structured programs and experiences that support the overall development of students outside their formal academic curriculum. These activities are designed to enhance the educational experience by developing important life skills, promoting personal growth, and encouraging social interaction.
Co-curricular activities are non-academic pursuits that complement the curriculum and contribute to the holistic development of students. These are not graded like academic courses but are often considered essential for building a well-rounded personality.

சமூக நலன் மற்றும் மகளிர் உரிமைத் துறை – விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சி
எங்கள் கல்லூரியில் சமூக நலன் மற்றும் மகளிர் உரிமைத் துறை சார்பில் விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியின் நோக்கம் பெண் குழந்தையின் முக்கியத்துவம், அவர்களின் கல்வியின் அவசியம் மற்றும் சிறுவயது திருமணத்தைத் தவிர்க்கும் தேவையை மாணவர்களிடம் எடுத்துரைப்பதாகும்.
நிகழ்ச்சியில் உரையாற்றிய விருந்தினர்கள், பெண் குழந்தைகள் சமூக முன்னேற்றத்தின் அடிப்படை என்றும் அவர்களின் கல்வி சமூக வளர்ச்சிக்கான முக்கிய கருவி என்றும் வலியுறுத்தினர். மாணவர்கள் பெரும் ஆர்வத்துடன் கலந்து கொண்டு விழிப்புணர்வை பெற்றனர்.
இந்நிகழ்ச்சி பெண்களின் உரிமைகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது.
🌸 Students Participate in Ladies Day Celebration Organized by HELLO FM (106.4)
Our enthusiastic students from the Departments of BBA, CS, B.Com, and BCA actively participated in the Ladies Day Celebration organized by HELLO FM (106.4).
The event featured a variety of exciting competitions and fun-filled activities, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, creativity, and confidence.
We appreciate our students for their vibrant participation and for representing our institution with great enthusiasm and spirit.
World First Aid Day Competitions
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the college organized various competitions on the occasion of World First Aid Day. The events aimed to create awareness about the importance of first aid and to encourage students to showcase their talents.
The competitions included Elocution (English/Tamil), Essay Writing (English/Tamil), and Drawing. A large number of students participated enthusiastically and expressed their views on the significance of first aid through powerful speeches, creative essays, and artistic drawings.
The event helped in spreading awareness about first aid practices among students and highlighted the role of youth in promoting health and safety in society. The winners were appreciated and motivated to continue contributing actively in such awareness programs.
Report on Rally – Awareness of Drug Free Tamil Nadu
The NSS Unit in collaboration with the ANI – Drug Committee organized a Rally on Awareness of Drug Free Tamil Nadu on 29/08/2025. The main objective of the rally was to create awareness among the public, especially the youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free society.
The rally was flagged off by our Principal Dr. J Anudevi and Director Mr. Radhakrishnan], and a large number of NSS volunteers and students actively participated, carrying placards, banners, and raising slogans emphasizing the message “Say No to Drugs – Yes to Life.” The participants marched through the main streets, spreading awareness and encouraging the community to join the mission for a drug-free Tamil Nadu.
Faculty members, local authorities, and the public appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the importance of collective action in combating the menace of drugs. The rally instilled a sense of responsibility among students and highlighted the role of youth in building a healthy and progressive state.
The Awareness Rally on Drug Free Tamil Nadu was a remarkable success, spreading a powerful message of hope, health, and determination against drug abuse.
The NSS Department, in association with RELA Hospital, organized an “Organ Donation & Drug Abuse Prevention Awareness Programme” on campus. The programme aimed at sensitizing students to the importance of organ donation and the harmful impact of drug abuse in society.
The session was led by the distinguished Resource Person, Dr. K. Ramasubramanian, MBBS, MD, PDCC (Cardiac Anaesthesia) from RELA Hospital. He delivered an insightful lecture highlighting the value of organ donation as a selfless act that saves lives and explained the medical and legal aspects involved in the process.
Dr. Ramasubramanian also addressed the growing menace of drug abuse among youth. He explained its adverse effects on physical health, mental stability, and social well-being. With real-life examples and medical perspectives, he motivated students to remain drug-free and to spread awareness among peers.
The programme witnessed active participation from students, who interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating both the NSS Department and RELA Hospital for their collaborative effort in organizing such a meaningful awareness initiative.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION - AUG 15, 2025
The college organized Green Plantation Day with the objective of promoting environmental conservation and sustainability on campus. The event featured Mr. D. Eswaran, Deputy Director, Advanced Institute for Wildlife Conservation, as the esteemed resource person.
In his address, Mr. Eswaran emphasized the importance of afforestation, biodiversity conservation, and the role of individuals in combating climate change. He shared valuable insights on how tree planting contributes to ecological balance and long-term environmental health.
Following the session, students from all departments actively participated in planting saplings across the campus. The activity fostered a sense of responsibility towards nature and unity among students from diverse academic streams. Faculty members also joined hands with the students, making it a collaborative and memorable effort.
The Head of the Institution appreciated the initiative and encouraged everyone to nurture the planted saplings for a greener future. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the day as a meaningful step towards environmental sustainability.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) organized an inspiring Workshop on Startup Skills aimed at empowering aspiring women entrepreneurs. The event featured two accomplished resource persons — Ms. S. Harsha, a talented Content Creator and Entrepreneur, and Ms. S. Viruthika, a skilled Mehandhi Artist.
The workshop focused on equipping participants with essential skills and practical knowledge to start and manage a successful business. Ms. S. Harsha shared her entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing creativity, brand building, and the importance of digital platforms in reaching wider audiences. Ms. S. Viruthika provided insights into turning artistic talents into a profitable business, discussing customer engagement, marketing strategies, and service quality.
The session was interactive, with participants engaging in discussions, asking questions, and gaining valuable tips on overcoming startup challenges. The workshop motivated attendees to confidently pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and provided them with actionable strategies to begin their ventures.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the resource persons for their inspiring contributions and the EDC for organizing a platform that fosters women’s entrepreneurship.
FRESHERS INDUCTION PROGRAM 2025
The Freshers’ Induction Program for the academic year 2025-2026 was held on 9th July 2025 in the college auditorium with great enthusiasm and warm hospitality. The event aimed to welcome and orient the new batch of students into the academic and cultural life of the institution.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the Principal, who emphasized the importance of discipline, learning, and personal growth during the college journey. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest – Mr. Madurai Ramakrishnan, a well-known Motivational Speaker, Life Counsellor, Lyricist, Writer, and Tamil Researcher.
In his inspiring keynote address, Mr. Ramakrishnan encouraged students to believe in themselves, set clear goals, and value their roots and culture while embracing modern education. His words left a lasting impact on the freshers, motivating them to approach college life with confidence and commitment.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, faculty members, and organizing committee. Overall, the induction program set a positive and energetic tone for the new academic journey of the freshers.
