IIC

IIC in a college typically refers to the Institution’s Innovation Council. It is an initiative by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, through the Innovation Cell under AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). The main goal of IIC is to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up culture among students and faculty members in higher educational institutions.

  • Key Objectives of IIC in Colleges:
    1. Foster Innovation: Encourage students and faculty to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to real-world problems.

    2. Promote Entrepreneurship: Provide guidance and support for converting ideas into startups.

    3. Bridge Industry-Academia Gap: Organize interactions with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovators.

    4. Support R&D: Help in the identification of innovative research topics and support patent filing.

    5. Capacity Building: Conduct training programs, workshops, and competitions to build innovation and entrepreneurial skills.

IIC 6.0 Mentor-Mentee Meeting

As part of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) initiative to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems in educational institutions, our college successfully hosted the IIC 6.0 Mentor-Mentee Scheme meeting on July 12th, 2024. This important event was organized in collaboration with Sri Padmavathi Venkateshwara Engineering College, our designated mentor institution under the scheme.
