About EDC

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of our college is established with the objective of nurturing entrepreneurial skills among students and motivating them to become job creators rather than job seekers. The cell aims to create awareness about entrepreneurship, innovation, and start-up culture by providing a supportive platform for students to transform their ideas into successful ventures.

Career Guidance Program on Financial Planning for Young Women Entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC), in association with the Lions Club of Chennai Tambaram Central Charitable Trust, successfully organized a Career Guidance Program on “Financial Planning for Young Women Entrepreneurs” on 21 January 2026 from 10.30 AM to 12.00 PM at the Seminar Hall.

The program aimed to empower young women students with essential knowledge on financial planning, budgeting, savings, and investment strategies required for entrepreneurial success. The session focused on building financial awareness and confidence among aspiring women entrepreneurs.

The program was led by Ms. Janifer Irudhayaraj, Resource Person from the Lions Club of Chennai Tambaram Central Charitable Trust. She delivered an insightful and interactive session highlighting the importance of financial discipline, business planning, risk management, and smart investment practices. She also motivated the students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option and guided them on managing finances effectively during the initial stages of business.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, especially young women aspiring to become entrepreneurs. The session included practical examples, real-life experiences, and interactive discussions, which made the program highly engaging and informative.

The program concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants, fulfilling the objective of promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurial mindset among young women.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) organized an inspiring Workshop on Startup Skills aimed at empowering aspiring women entrepreneurs. The event featured two accomplished resource persons — Ms. S. Harsha, a talented Content Creator and Entrepreneur, and Ms. S. Viruthika, a skilled Mehandhi Artist.

The workshop focused on equipping participants with essential skills and practical knowledge to start and manage a successful business. Ms. S. Harsha shared her entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing creativity, brand building, and the importance of digital platforms in reaching wider audiences. Ms. S. Viruthika provided insights into turning artistic talents into a profitable business, discussing customer engagement, marketing strategies, and service quality.

The session was interactive, with participants engaging in discussions, asking questions, and gaining valuable tips on overcoming startup challenges. The workshop motivated attendees to confidently pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and provided them with actionable strategies to begin their ventures.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the resource persons for their inspiring contributions and the EDC for organizing a platform that fosters women’s entrepreneurship.

FORZA 2026 – Students Mart was successfully conducted on January 7, 2026, at 9.00 a.m. in the College Campus. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial talents.

Students from various departments actively participated by presenting creative products and business ideas through stalls. The Students Mart offered practical exposure in entrepreneurship, marketing, teamwork, and customer interaction.

Faculty members and students visited the stalls and encouraged the participants. The event effectively promoted innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills among students.

FORZA 2026 was a successful initiative that strengthened students’ confidence and interest in entrepreneurship.
